◪ Basic Information
Definition: Aluminum-zinc-silicon coated steel sheet is a type of coated steel sheet made from cold-rolled steel sheet as the base material, processed through a double-sided hot-dip aluminum-zinc alloy coating process. It is an alloy-coated steel sheet with the optimal combination of aluminum, zinc, and silicon components and structure.
Coating Composition: The coating primarily consists of 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon.
◪ Properties
Excellent Corrosion Resistance: The unique aluminum-silicon-zinc ternary alloy structure forms a dense crystalline barrier on the steel sheet surface, effectively preventing the penetration of corrosive media. When zinc is worn away, aluminum forms a dense layer of aluminum oxide, preventing corrosive substances from further corroding the interior. Its corrosion resistance is approximately three times that of pure galvanized steel sheets.
Good heat resistance: It can withstand temperatures exceeding 300°C, maintain its color under long-term use at around 315°C, and withstand short-term exposure to temperatures around 370°C. Its high-temperature oxidation resistance is similar to that of aluminum-coated steel sheets and superior to that of galvanized steel sheets.
High reflectivity: It has a very high thermal reflectivity, approximately twice that of galvanized steel sheets. It can effectively lower indoor temperatures in summer, reduce air conditioning energy consumption, and be used as insulation material.
Excellent processability: The alloy coating exhibits excellent adhesion and flexibility, similar to the superior formability and processability of galvanized steel plates. Cracking at processing points is rare on the steel plate, and the durability of processed areas is outstanding. When applying coatings such as color coating, only degreasing or passivation is required, without the need for pretreatment or etching.
Lightweight and high yield rate: Under the same coating thickness, the unfolded area per ton of steel is greater than that of galvanized steel sheets. For example, with a thickness of 0.48mm and a coating of 40μm (both sides), the unfolded area is approximately 9 square meters larger than that of pure galvanized steel sheets.
